Our History

Levent College was founded in 1998 in Nicosia and initially operated in the current premises of Levent Primary School. In 2001, the college moved to the current facility located in the Ortaköy region of Nicosia.

From its establishment until 2008, Levent College had the privilege of being led by Mr. Burhan Tuna, one of the most prominent educators in our country. Under his guidance, the school established an exemplary academic staff by bringing together experts in their fields and initiated a pioneering educational program. Since 2008, this significant role has been undertaken by Ms. Emine Beton.

In 2011, Levent College successfully met the required standards and underwent inspections, leading to its membership in the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) as well as becoming an examination center for Edexcel and Cambridge. The college's journey, which began with 50 students, has flourished over time, and it currently accommodates more than 500 students. As of the 2022-2023 academic year, Levent College has surpassed a twenty-five-year milestone in providing educational experiences. It remains committed to educating students as global citizens, imparting knowledge and fostering a global perspective among its student body.

Being one of the oldest private schools in Northern Cyprus, Levent College takes pride in producing hardworking and determined graduates who achieve outstanding success in their respective fields, both in our country and around the world.
